Our Story
For generations, millions of Irish people left Ireland to build new lives abroad. They created families, communities, and legacies across the world, yet for many, their connection to Ireland never truly faded.

At My Irish Goodbye, we were inspired by a simple idea: even when life takes us far from home, home can still be part of our final journey.

We recognised that many families wish to honour that connection by returning a loved one's ashes to Ireland, but distance, travel, and logistics can make it difficult. What begins as a meaningful wish can quickly become an overwhelming process.

That's where we come in - we personally travel to meet families where they currently reside, collect their loved one's ashes with care and dignity, and accompany them on their journey back to Ireland. From there, we arrange a respectful farewell in a location chosen by the family—whether it's a windswept cliff along the Atlantic coast, a quiet family hometown, or a place that held special meaning to the person being remembered.

Consultation & Planning
Every family's wishes are unique. We begin with a personal phone or video consultation to understand your requirements, answer any questions, and discuss how you would like your loved one to be remembered.

Following our consultation, we provide a detailed summary of our discussion, a personalised proposal, and a transparent quotation. Once approved, we guide you through the documentation required for the lawful transportation of cremated ashes from where you reside to Ireland, providing clear instructions every step of the way.
Collection & Return Home
On a pre-arranged date, one of our team will personally meet you at your home or another convenient location in your country of residence to receive your loved one's ashes and accompanying documentation.

We handle the journey with the utmost care and respect, personally accompanying the ashes throughout their return to Ireland, ensuring they arrive safely and with dignity.
A Meaningful Irish Farewell
On an agreed date, we travel to your chosen location anywhere in Ireland to conduct a respectful scattering ceremony. Whether overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, beside a peaceful lake, at the foot of a mountain, or in a place of personal significance, we help create a farewell that reflects your loved one's wishes.

The ceremony is professionally filmed and can include prayers, poems, music, readings, or personal messages chosen by the family. Following the ceremony, the video recording is securely shared with you and may also be provided on a keepsake USB if requested.
