We understand that arranging a final farewell for a loved one is a deeply personal experience. These Terms & Conditions explain how our services are provided and the responsibilities of both My Irish Goodbye and our clients.

By engaging our services or using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Services

My Irish Goodbye provides personalised services relating to:

Initial consultations
Guidance regarding documentation
Personal collection of cremated ashes
Personal transportation of cremated ashes to Ireland
Ash-scattering ceremonies
Memorial video recording
Optional bespoke memorial services

We transport cremated ashes only. We do not provide transportation of human remains.

2. Initial Consultation

Every service begins with an initial consultation by telephone or video call. Following the consultation we will normally provide:

A summary of the discussion
Apersonalised proposal
A quotation
Guidance on documentation required
No booking is confirmed until accepted by both parties.

3. Quotations

All quotations are prepared specifically for each client. Unless otherwise stated:

Quotations are valid for 30 days
Additional services requested after acceptance may result in additional charges
Travel outside the agreed scope may incur additional costs

4. Payment

Payment terms will be confirmed within your quotation. Unless otherwise agreed:

A 50% booking deposit will be required
The remaining balance must be paid before the agreed ceremony date
Late payment may result in postponement of services.

5. Documentation

The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete documentation relating to the cremated ashes.

My Irish Goodbye will provide guidance regarding documentation requirements but cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by:

Incomplete documentation
Inaccurate information
Delays by third parties
Changes in legal or airline requirements

6. Transportation of Cremated Ashes

Where engaged to do so, My Irish Goodbye will personally accompany cremated ashes to Ireland. Transportation is always subject to:

Airline requirements
Customs regulations
Applicable laws
Security procedures

While every reasonable effort will be made to complete transportation as planned, circumstances outside our control may require changes to travel arrangements.

7. Memorial Ceremonies

Ceremonies are arranged in accordance with the wishes discussed during consultation.

Services may include:

Scattering of cremated ashes
Readings
Prayers
Poems
Music
Moments of reflection
Bespoke memorial requests

Every effort will be made to accommodate individual wishes wherever reasonably practicable.

8. Ceremony Locations

Clients may request a preferred location within Ireland. Some locations may require:

Landowner permission
Local authority permission
Compliance with environmental regulations

Where a requested location is unsuitable or inaccessible, we will work with the client to agree an appropriate alternative.

9. Weather & Safety

Ireland's weather can be unpredictable.

Where severe weather or safety concerns arise, My Irish Goodbye reserves the right to postpone or relocate a ceremony where necessary to protect those involved and preserve the dignity of the occasion.

10. Photography & Recording

Where included within the agreed service:

Ceremonies may be photographed or filmed
Recordings will be supplied digitally
USB copies may be provided where requested
Recordings remain private and confidential.

We will never publish photographs or videos without the client's prior written consent.

11. Bespoke Services

Many families request personalised arrangements. Where bespoke services are requested, additional costs, planning requirements and timescales may apply.

12. Cancellations

If a client wishes to cancel services, notice should be provided as soon as possible.

Deposits may be non-refundable where costs have already been incurred, including:

Flights
Accommodation
Venue bookings
Third-party suppliers

Any applicable refund will be outlined within the individual quotation.

13. Circumstances Beyond our Control

My Irish Goodbye shall not be liable for delays or changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including:

Adverse weather
Airline disruption
Customs delays
Transport disruption
Government restrictions
Natural events
Public emergencies

Where possible we will work with clients to rearrange services at the earliest suitable opportunity.

14. Limitations of Liability

While every reasonable care is taken in providing our services, My Irish Goodbye's liability shall be limited to the value of the services purchased except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing within these Terms excludes liability for fraud, negligence causing death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

15. Intellectual Property

All photographs, videos, written material and website content remain the intellectual property of My Irish Goodbye unless otherwise agreed.

Clients receive a personal licence to use supplied recordings for private family purposes.

16. Website Information

The information provided on this website is intended as general guidance. Although every effort is made to keep information accurate and current, legal requirements relating to transportation of cremated ashes may change.

Clients should rely upon individual advice provided during consultation rather than website content alone.

17. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
